29th August 2014
Windsurfing: Felixstowe Fludg and Dip
Wind Direction: WSW
Wind Stength: F3-5
Surf / Sea State: Chop/waves
Air Temperature: Cool
Sea Temperature: OK
Weather: Cool
Max Speed: 24.18 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 11.7 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

Another faff sail, now 3 in a row. Spent 20 mins trying to park with trailer at the Felixstowe Fludge. Phil was sailing well on small gear so itching to park.
Faffed left trailer in one spot and moved the van around till lucky. The sea looked choppy and I really should n't have bothered. Rigged 6.2/120L had a couple of runs, but chop going out wasn't fun, ok coming in. Saw Rog and Strawberry on the beach and the said the Dip was now SW so packed up and went there.
Wind was a good way out so needed big kit to get there. Peter and Rog were going well on small kit 5.3/5.7 sails. Rigged 6.2 / 120L again but had one decent run, the sea was much better with clean waves / flat, then the wind died...bastard!
Waited a good 40 mins then Mike A sailed over to the bar on a 5.6! and was planning, with no wind on the carpark!
Ian got out in the wind band and was having a decent sail, tried on the 6.2 to get out but couldn't launch on the offshore part even water starting. Peter / Rog also tried and gave up, both packing up. Andy Marshall turned up with 6 ish so rigged 8.2 / 146L and was having a very nice sail as sea was big but not chop, then the poxy wind increased and blew me off the water. Couldn't sheet in with Max downhaul out haul, so called it a *ucking day. Tide was running out and getting late so quit whilst ahead.
Switched from Waist to Seat harness as my dreaded back ache was returning
Too much faffing this windsurfing for little rewards.
Driving home all my chicken and chips spilt off the seat on to the van floor for Christ sakes! the floor is filthy so no chance picking them up!
Steam room at the spa was at least working and hot though.......
